The University of Chicago Hospitals are conveniently located on the South Side of Chicago near the Museum of Science and Industry. In-patient care for adults is provided at The Center for Care and Discovery. Opened in 1983, the hospital is comprised of 824 beds and has the most technically advanced equipment available to help provide expert medical and surgical treatment.

Outpatient care for adults is provided at The Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine. This 525,000 square-foot facility brings together virtually all of the adult medical and surgical specialties required to provide convenient diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients who do not require hospitalization.

The University of Chicago Hospitals have consistently ranked among the top hospitals in the nation and are the only hospital in Illinois to have appeared on the U.S.News & World Report hospital honor roll. The Geriatrics program also ranks among the best in the nation is the top ranked program in Illinois.
